Cricket section management structure

This new structure will ensure PCC is fit for purpose in the future and allows more members/volunteers to contribute to what is a massive commitment.

Four members of the section completed this piece of work with the idea of strengthening our future. It is all about spreading the workload across many rather than the few which is currently the case.

To continue the success of the club it has to be run like a business to meet both the financial demands as well as the regulatory requirements demanded of clubs like Prestwich. If we stand still we will go nowhere.

The structure was passed unanimously at last night’s AGM. I will stay as Chairman for another year and Helen stays as the Secretary. Steve Ward remains our ClubMark Manager.

It is the intention that after the first year none of the new roles will be combined with the Chairman. The other five positions are as follows:

Marketing Director – Tom Gibson

Finance Director – Peter Lorenzini

Cricket Academy Director – Steve Orrell

Senior Cricket Director – Andy Bradley

Cricket Facility Director – Brian Lorenzini
