John Steenson played D Haydock despite losing the first end showed his class and pulled away to lead 10 – 4 . D Haydock responded in kind and the scores were now level 12 -12 John put in a min break of 5 to pull away to 17 again the opponent responded but was too little too late John hang on to win 21 -16
Stevie Dixie Dixon or perhaps we should call him tricky Dixie for he struggles in the “A” but is too good for the “B” playing against the unlucky F Aldred. Steve raced to an emphatic, commanding , outstanding, awesome lead of 18 – 0 in only 12 ends F Alfred nicked a cheeky double before Steve took the game to win 21 – 2
Steve the builder Brady playing B hall was forced to dig deep after trailing 3 -10 put in a break of 10 to lead 13 -10. B Hall not to be out done put in a break of his own and scores were now level at 17 -17. This was followed by exchanges of points between the pair but Steve showed he had the edge and hung on to win 21 -18

Garthe digging deep to come from behind at 2 -10 to level the scores 10 -10, the players then exchanged blows (not literally for that what be wrong and we condone violence in bowls) and the scores were still level at 15 -15, Garth must have found inspiration from somewhere – perhaps from a beer glass and put one last big push and ran out to win 21 -15
New recruit and welcome to the club Mr T Williams playing J Graham had a marathon match lasting 33 ends and the match was tight in the early stages with no more than 2 points between them. With scores stood 11 -15 down the new boy put in an impressive 8 break to lead 19 – 15. J Graham responded with 4 of his own but was not enough T Williams won 21 -19
Big Ted was the anchor (I have always wondered what happened to big Ted!) and played liked his stuffed bear namesake and yes got stuffed! Though he was playing the experienced Stan Baker. Ted lost 9 – 21
