U11’s UP AND RUNNING

Prestwich FC’s Under 11’s are up and running in the North Bury Junior Football League as the team embark on their first season playing 11-a-side football under the management of George and Ian Marsh.

Westbury Hurricanes 2, Prestwich 0

There were a lot of nervous players for this match as the team played their first ever 11-a-side game. All three subs were used and the whole team did an excellent job against a very experienced team and had great support from all their family and friends up at the Wellington Barracks pitches in Bury. Man of the match was Tom Grayston.

Whitefield Galaxy 3, Prestwich 2

Luke Heyn opened the scoring with a brilliant free kick to put the boys 1-0 up at half time. Josh Taylor added a second goal but injuries to Kyle, Luke and Alexander affected the team and Whitefield scored three goals to win the match. Man of the match was Jack Withey.

Prestwich 3, Little Lever 2

A brilliant performance from the boys to get their first win of the season. Jack Withey scored a brace in a man of the match performance with Jake Wright getting the other goal for Prestwich.
