Welcome back mark ” he’s put on a boit timber over the winter ” prosser playing Eugene Brady was never in control, For eugene played some excellent close consistent bowls, never allowed mark in or to settle. mark found himself on the wrong end of 13 -16, but then, shear magic, something that left the yorkie speechless – on the 21st end Mark lead the block and his first bowl was 4 yards through, Eugene did what he did all nightt and aplayed a 6 inch bowl in front, Mark took his time, and a good look and played the perfect bowl a front toucher. eugene had no rely. however, Eugene moved a gear and chipped in a couple of doubles. Steve globe trotter blaymire was another in a close tense affair against the under rated Ian Johnson, with the scores stood at 13 across Ian stretsteepched tjhesteep mark and bowled superb not allowing steep a sniff, Ian ran out with an 8 break to win. Steve lost 13 -21

Geoff Hilton against Mark Gibbons was potentially the game of the night with both players at the top of their game, and the first half saw Geoff edging 12 – 8 after 16 ends. Then geoff made a school boy error and tried stretching mark into the corners, mark rubbed his hands with glee and proceeds to put a break of 7 together to lead 15 -12, geoff stopped the run with a double, but mark had his confidence back and run out with another 6 break, geoff lost 14 -21 and with it his 100% record

Colin “gone back to his orange balls” palmer was keen to atone for his dreadful showing last week and played against Bernand Bramhall was involved in a titanic tussel with the lead swapping hands 8 times, colin raced to 4 -0, brernard replied with 5 to make 4 -5, the game moved on with a colin having a little spurt of 7 to lead 14 -10, & 18 -12 bernard dug deep and lead 19 -20. Colin found a little luck and stole two at the next end to win 21 -20

Chad was another who raced to a healthy lead of 16 -9 with another exhibition of close bowling, but D lee was not to give up the ghost pulled it back to level at 17 -17 chad replied with two of the best, but d lee ran out to win. chad lost 19 -21

Gareth martin against the very difficulty colin weekes was never allowed to get into his stride and was always chasing the game and trailed 7 -15, gareth dug in and produced a mini break of 6 to bring
back into contention at 13 -15 but this was to be his last hurrah, colin stepped and replied with a 6 break of his own to take the match. gareth lost 13 -21

last but no means least was the yorkie, aka the crowd, me – started well and was leading 8 -3 against barry Solomans , barry showed his class and wasted no time in pulling the game and take the 10 -14 with a cheeky 7 break. Yorkie replied and retook the lead 17 -15 again barry came back with some good bowls, to lead 17 -18, again the yorkie applied focus and went short over the crown to take the next three ends to to rue the missed twos that were there for the taking, lead 20 -18, but barry was not finished yet and bowled a double to make it allbut across. the final end barry played a 4 foot through the yorkie replied a yard short but counting, again barry was not finished and bowled just beating the yorkie and so lying game. the yorkie with everyone stood behind holding their breath played a wider bowl to come round the finish 2 foot short and so take the game 21 -20
