Friday November 12th 2010 | Social

Looking to continue our winning run, this week saw the bridge Inn from dumers lane visiting and we were eager to get underway.

Darts
John “fat fingers” Davies opened up with his steady throwing won comfortably 2 – 0 picking up a ton & 140 and chipped in a 94 (T18, D20) checkout in the second leg

Stu “showboat” Cameron up next and is getting better each week was 2 – 0 winner with 4 tons and a 97 (T19, D20) checkout also in the second leg.

Bradders struggled to a very unimpressive 2 – 1 win but it was down against the opponents undefeated player

Nick “schoolboy” Carter hardly got out of 2nd gear won 2 – 0 with a couple of tons to boot

Chris “hastings” williams scored a 140 but still managed to lose the leg, also lost the next to lose 0 – 2

Capt Nemo batting down the order was again well below average, in fact he didnt score over 80, but still managed to win 2 – 0

Jon Des o connor was out played in the first leg and lost by a country mile. But he stepped up through the gears to take the next and force a 3rd leg, again Jon was the better player, but could not finish
and so let the game slip away.

Result – Won 5 – 2 (+2 bonus points)

Doms

Big Ted & even bigger Bob are proving to be a force to recon with. won comfortably 91 – 39 which would put them in the running for best domino win, but someone has already done better (91 -36)

nemo and the hammer up next and keen to keep up with the big boys also won 91 – 39

new pairing wendy Cameron and trevor williams never really settled and no luck with the draw lost 62 – 91

Showboat and bradders faired no better and lost 59 -91 (me thinks they should stick to darts )

with it all to play for the hammer and trev were asked to play again and they did not disappoint winning 91 -77

result won 3 -2 (+2 bonus points)

Next week we are away at the Wilton near Radcliffe borough football club, leave the club approx 8 .15
We are also drawn against this team in the next round of the doms cup, so i might do a double header next week to give a free week
