CRICKET GAMES DAY 11th JULY

Monday June 27th 2011 | Cricket

A Cricket Games Day is being held for children in Years 2, 3 and 4 from 10am to 3pm on Monday 11th July.

The session is being organised to give youngsters in this 7 to 9 age group a chance to play in a team format used at Under 11 level where everyone gets a chance to bat, bowl and field.

Games will take place using a windball (softball) and will be run by Steve Orrell and another ECB qualified coach.

There will be prizes on the day for the best performances.

Youngsters are asked to bring a packed lunch and drink. They are encouraged to wear their cricket/training gear and bring their bat. No other equipment is needed.

Cost of the session will be £5. Registration will take place on the day from 9.45am onwards.

Please note: the event is dependent on the weather, and in the event of unplayable or unsafe conditions, would have to be cancelled.

* The session has been organised due to the early term finish (July 8th) at Our Lady of Grace Primary School, compared to many other local schools, and therefore it is envisaged only pupils at Our Lady’s will be able to attend.
