The third year of the Lancashire Cricket Board “OSCAS” (Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards), saw Prestwich Chairman Brian Lorenzini receive the trophy in the “Building Partnerships” category.

Vice-Chairman Bob Hinchliffe paid tribute to the amount of work done by Brian and said that “Probably nobody in the Country, let alone Lancashire, has created more partnerships than Brian whose SPASCE team helped provide the ‘fantastic’ new facilities at Prestwich Cricket, Tennis and Bowling Club.”

The highest profile organisations that helped to provide these facilities were Sport England, The England and Wales Cricket Board, the Lancashire Cricket Board, and the Lawn Tennis Association. Brian was the focal point in discussions with these organisations.

He was supported at Lancashire Cricket Clubs “Point” facility on 15 July by his wife Linda and several of his friends from the Club. It was an excellent, well organised event which rewarded voluteers from all walks of cricket in nine different categories and was watched by a total of 910 guests.
