HIT FOR SIX

IT was another blank Saturday for a frustrated Prestwich, who were left to curse the weather for a sixth time this season.

Their game at Flowery Field was washed out, after the torrential rain in the previous 24 hours.

But Woodbank leapfrogged to the top of the Lees Lancashire County League, after they managed to play at nearby Dukinfield and secure a five-point victory.

It was a similar weather-beaten outcome at The Heys where the game between Prestwich 2nds and Flowery Field 2nds was called off.

In the hope of clearer skies this Saturday, Prestwich 1sts are at home to cup finalists Denton West, whilst the 2nd team face a tough trip to the dvision two league leaders.
