THIRDS OFF THE MARK

Prestwich A Team finally got their 2012/13 campaign up and running following a 2-2 draw against Old Blackburnians A at Littleton Road.

Despite early dominance from the home side, a speculative long-ranger from an Old Black’s forward flew into the roof of the net to give the visitors the lead.

A quick-fire Marc Jeffreys double after the break looked to have earned Prestwich a much needed win until the visitors leveled the scores late on.

So a point finally got Prestwich A off the mark in Division Four this season and with the return of striker Daniel Ingham and winger Bryan Leckie to the team, hopes are high that they can starting moving a little further up the table.
