Fingers crossed for a sun and run fest

Last Saturday proved a total washout for the first, second and third teams.

Then on Sunday, the third XI had Monton & Weaste in a spot of trouble at 59 for 6 in their cup tie, when the rain once again intervened.

Having won through two previous rounds via a bowl out, the Prestwich lads failed to make it a hat-trick as the home side hit the bullseye on five occasions compared to one solitary strike.

This Saturday, the first team travel to Denton West while the 2nds host Heywood.

The 2nds then face a cup semi-final tie at The Heys against Woodbank on Sunday.

The third team are also in action on Sunday with a trip to Stratford.
