No return for Pro Marty

Due to an unexpected change to his professional circumstances in South Africa our club Professional for the last two seasons, Marty Walters, is now sadly unable to come to England for the 2017 season.

Having spoken to Marty at length over the last fortnight since this news came to light we know he is devastated that he is unable to return to Prestwich this summer.

Prestwich Cricket Club would like to place on record our thanks to Marty for his fantastic attitude and performance during his two seasons as club Professional. Marty has elevated the club to new levels with his approach to training and match days.

In his two seasons with the club Marty compiled 1746 runs at an average of 52.91 scoring 10 fifties and 4 hundreds. He was a huge part of the record breaking, double winning team in 2015.

Marty has made friends for life at Prestwich, we wish him well for the future and sincerely hope to see him back at The Heys soon.
