Prestwich CC Update – Season 2021:
Following on from the information released by the Club Exec earlier in the week please note the following information regarding the return of Cricket at PCC:
Return to training;
The first training session for the 1st & 2nd teams will be Tues 30th March from 5 45pm.
First training session for the 3rds & 4ths will be the following night Wed 31st March from 5 45pm.
1st/ 2nd team training will be every Tues and Thurs from then on and every Wed for 3rds/ 4ths. We are planning to do some extra sessions over the 4 day Easter break, to be discussed at the players meeting.
Players meeting;
On Tues 30th March at 7 30pm we will have the start of season players meeting (cricket AGM) outdoor at the bottom of the steps, all players welcome to attend.
Annual & Match subs;
Adult annual subs will be £75 (plus £6 a game match subs). Adult players this year have the option to pay £200 subs at the start of the year and then no match subs during the season (breakdown £75 annual subs and £125 to cover all match subs for the season). Whilst, for various reasons, we would welcome the latter this is completely optional and you can pay match subs as normal if you prefer.
Junior/ student annual subs will be £45, no match fees for a junior game but still £3 a game for juniors/ students when playing in a senior team.
Please pay annual subs by card at the club before or after the training sessions between Tues 30th March and Easter Sat 3rd April.
Bar and first league games;
The bar will reopen on 12th April for outside hospitality in time for the first GMCL league games on Sat 17th April for the 1sts & 2nds.
The 3rd team league games start on Sun 18th April and the 4ths Sun 25th April.
The club bar will open indoors from 17th May at which point the club will potentially be in a position to introduce members prices so your PCTBC membership card will give you reduced prices at the bar (please keep last years if you have it). The same will apply to non-playing members who have paid their £15 social membership for the year.
Player Sponsors;
The Club is doing player sponsors again for £100, players are encouraged to obtain one as it’s a great way to support both you and the club. You can have more than one and if players arrange their sponsor themselves they will get £40 worth of kit out of it (£25 if the club allocate one to a player). It can be a person or company, but all sponsors will also get complimentary drinks at a T20 game and if it’s a company then media advertising too. Scorers required;
PCC expect to have opportunities for new scorers this season across the senior teams. Please contact Pete on 07729 016 945 if you are interested in scoring on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Scorers receive a payment of £20 a game.
Ground;
A work party to get the ground ready will potentially be needed over Easter and Sat 10th April, to be discussed at the AGM.
Junior cricket;
