Valencia grant secured for energy saving scheme

With rising energy costs the Club put together a project over the winter to help reduce the impact on our running costs, by installing LED lighting into our floodlights on the tennis courts and bowling green and installing more solar panels on the clubhouse roof.

The cost of this scheme is over £50,000 so we are therefore delighted to have secured a grant of £35,000 from Valencia for the LED lighting.

The work on the solar element of the project, in part, is planned to commence on the 7th September with the internal electrical work and will complete with the installation of the panels in early October.

The LED lighting work will commence towards the end of September and will take 2 weeks.

We are not anticipating any major disruption to members but use of the tennis courts might be restricted during installation.
